Authors are responsible for the factual accuracy and copyright of their contributions.
Submission of a manuscript implies that the work is original, has not been previously published in any form, is not under consideration for publication elsewhere, and that its submission and publication have been approved by all co-authors.

The authors which submitting the article for publication agree to transfer the copyright and the related rights to the Romanian Journal of Horticulture. Proper acknowledgment of the work of others must always be given. Authors should cite publications that have been influential in determining the nature of the reported work. Information obtained privately, as in conversation, correspondence, or discussion with third parties, must not be used or reported without explicit, written permission from the source. Authorship should be limited to those who have made a significant contribution to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the reported study. All those who have made significant contributions should be listed as co-authors. Where there are others who have participated in certain substantive aspects of the research project, they should be acknowledged or listed as contributors. The corresponding author should ensure that all appropriate co-authors and no inappropriate co-authors are included on the paper, and that all co-authors have seen and approved the final version of the paper and have agreed to its submission for publication. RJH follows the Code of Conduct of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), and follows the COPE Flowcharts for Resolving Cases of Suspected Misconduct.
Plagiarism and Similarity Screening Policy
Romanian Journal of Horticulture is committed to upholding the highest standards of academic integrity and publication ethics.
All submitted manuscripts are screened using Turnitin prior to the peer-review process in order to verify originality and prevent plagiarism.
The overall similarity index must not exceed 20%, excluding references, bibliography, properly cited quotations, tables, figures captions, and standard methodological descriptions commonly used in horticultural research.
In addition to the overall similarity index, similarity from a single source should normally not exceed 5%.
Similarity reports are evaluated qualitatively, not solely based on percentage values. The Editorial Office carefully examines the nature, location, and context of overlapping text, with particular attention to:
• Overlap with previously published articles
• Self-plagiarism or redundant publication
• Extensive similarity from a single source
• Reuse of experimental data without proper citation
Manuscripts that exceed the acceptable similarity thresholds or that raise concerns regarding academic misconduct may be:
• Rejected without external peer review
• Returned to the authors for revision and clarification
• Subject to further ethical investigation by the Editorial Board
By submitting a manuscript to the Romanian Journal of Horticulture, authors agree to similarity screening using Turnitin and confirm that the work is original and has not been published elsewhere.
The journal follows internationally recognized standards of publication ethics and good editorial practice.
